As the Instructional Designer at System Pavers, I create the training materials for our Learning & Development team to conduct staff training. eLearning and video development is a major part of my role. Below are examples of two of the training series I created.

Sales Staff Training

Problem & Purpose:

ILT needs to be asynchronous
Create eLearning for Field Marketers to replace current ILT

Solution:

Converted 8-hour ILT to a 1 week blended learning format
Created 14 eLearning training videos.
Created Learning Plan document for learners.
Created learning schedule for week
Created job aids
Reduced the ILT time by 75%.

Approach:

SME provided PPT, and documentation
Created scripts and storyboards
Created voice over tracks for videos using Camtasia,
Edited audio and video
Designed blended learning format:
- Daily independent eLearning time
- Daily field training with Manager
- Two ILT sessions.

Sales Manager Training

Problem & Purpose:

Reduce a two-hour live training for Sales Managers into an eLearning course
Create training that empowers Sales Managers to run their branch efficiently

Solution:

Created a three-part eLearning video series.
Reduced the course time by 70%

Approach:

SME provided the recording from a live training session
Distilled this information into three lessons
Created scripts, storyboards and PPT slides
Recorded the voice over using Adobe Audition.
Used Camtasia for editing, adding animations and combining audio tracks
Created PDFs of the referenced sales documents.
Created assessments
Uploaded videos, PDFs and assessments to the LMS
